Jody was a small-town southern kid who moved to the east coast and found his love for surfing. With this new passion came the idea for a surf company that he shared with his cousin Mikey. Tragically, Jody’s life ended way too early.

Years later, Mikey Mento inherited Jody’s blue truck with an EVL sticker on the tailgate. Mikey lived a wasted lifestyle and was hungover for years before he realized that drugs and alcohol are lame. He wanted to live a different life, so he picked up surfing and skating.

Mikey decided to honor Jody by creating a surf and skate company inspired by his designs. With help from his little sister, Coocs, EVL Surf and Skate was born. Our mission at EVL Surf and Skate is to get people of all ages, races, genders, shape and sizes active and on a board. We promote a healthy, active lifestyle and an alternative to a wasted life. We know that is what Jody would want for all of us.
